Will the modules be regularly updated?
Yes. Whenever there is a change in regulations that affects a training module, the module will be updated to reflect that change – usually within a week of the relevant change taking place. All users will be notified of any changes made, so that users who have already completed the training are aware of the update.

Who authored the content?
Depending on the subject, the content has been written by the ifs School of Finance, the British Bankers’ Association (BBA), the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML), and Navigant or by Absolutely Training.

Do I get a discount if I am a member of AMI or AIFA?
A 10% discount is available for members. Simply enter your membership number when you subscribe to the courses.

How do I access the training?
After payment, you will be sent a user name and password by e-mail. The e-mail will also contain a link to the web site.

How often do I need to retake the training?
The FSA do not prescribe a set period for competence training. However, best practice within the market is that training should be conducted annually. If you are familiar with the content then it is possible to go straight to the test.

Do I need one license for each financial adviser?
The system records the competence of an individual so that in the event that you need to prove you have kept up-to-date with regulatory and compliance requirements, you can point to your completed training plan. If someone else uses the same username and password it will not record a completion against their own name and could invalidate your proof of competence.

How do I prove I am competent?
You only need to take tests for those subjects that are appropriate for the advice that you give. By passing a test you are proving that you have enough knowledge in each particular area.

Can I go straight to the test?

Yes it is possible to take the test without doing the course. If you pass, then you clearly have enough knowledge. If you fail, then it would be necessary to look at the content to fill in any knowledge gaps.

How does the learning management system track who has done the training?
If you are responsible for several people’s training, the system will track each one by name, and show who has completed the course test.. Nominated “learning managers” within the organisation can access these reports to identify who has completed the training, who has passed the course test and who has failed the test.

The system allows the organisation to schedule the sending of specific reports (in a range of formats) to the learning manager’s inbox on a regular basis.

Can an individual take the test more than once?
There is no limit on the number of times each user may take the test or access the module during the licence period.

How long does each module take to complete?
The time taken to complete each module will depend on the individual and the content of the course. Some of the more detailed courses may take up to one hour to complete.

Can I have multiple users?
Yes, these will need to be added individually one at a time. If you require more than 5 users please contact Absolutely Training by email on info@absolutelytraining.com.

How long does my licence last?
12 calendar months from registration, including any content updates during the period.

How do I renew?
You will be sent an e-mail reminder as the anniversary of your subscription approaches. This will remind you to renew and give you details of the process you need to follow.

How do I purchase?
